We adore performing at weddings, adding the perfect, personalised backdrop to such a special occasion. We work with you throughout the planning process, putting you at ease before the big day.
Prelude
We usually perform a 30 minute prelude
before your ceremony starts,
to welcome your guests
as they arrive and find their seats.
Ceremony
Music for when the wedding party arrives.
The bride or groom’s entrance.
Up to three pieces for the signing of the register.
The recessional.
For traditional services, hymns can be included
with/or without the organist.
Drinks Reception
A string ensemble is the perfect choice for your drinks reception,
providing the best atmosphere after the ceremony.
Whether it's elegant classical repertoire for a sophisticated ambience, or getting the party started with some of our favourite pop arrangements, our music will provide the perfect balance between background and entertainment for this part of your day.

Stunning musical entertainment, perfect for events that require multiple or extended sets.

What If One Of The Duo Is Ill / Unavailable?
We have many professional contacts and musicians that we work with on a regular basis. In the event that one of us is ill, or unavailable, we will arrange another elite musician to perform in our place.
At every event, Serenity String Duo will be led by either Katja or Laura.
Can You Play Outside?
We can perform outdoors but require some
form of shelter. A gazebo, pergola, tree or stationed by french doors work best.
Do consider a contingency plan
for adverse weather.
Advance notice must be given before the event.
Can We Choose The Material That You Play?
You certainly can. Our clients have access to an extensive and diverse range of music, allowing us to create bespoke entertainment for any occasion. Have a look at our Repertoire List and contact us with your ideas.

Do You Require Food And Drink?
Food and drink is not expected from our clients, however it is always appreciated.
Depending on the length of the event, we will require a break to refresh and replenish,
keeping us, and the music, energised.
Are You Insured?
Katja has Public Liability Insurance
for £10 million, held with the
Independent Society of Musicians.
Laura has Public Liability Insurance
for £10 million, held with the
Independent Society of Musicians.
